Long Island Rowing offers training and competitive rowing to Middle School and High School students of Suffolk County. Male and female students from the ages 10 and up are invited to join. Members train at Scudder Beach in Northport. No experience is required. We only ask that you bring desire and a determination to be part of one of the premier high school rowing programs on Long Island.
Rowing is a non-contact multi-generational sport that builds environmental consciousness. The sport offers a complete cardiovascular workout without impact. It takes immense discipline to be a part of a rowing crew; the effort develops character and fosters team-building techniques critical in today's business marketplace. Rowing helps prepare young people for the challenges that are ahead of them through focus, responsibility and integrity.
